I’ve made a new account in Chart of Accounts and called it “Bonus Income” and it’s classified as Other Income. I’m using QB Desktop Pro 2018 and got a check last week from a client I worked with all year that included an “incentive pay” amount. I’m a sole proprietor and work with contractors. I’ve read the QBHelp forums and they all show how to record a business paying an employee a bonus but not how to record someone receiving a bonus.
